Born in Romania , the Tenor Romeo Saleno discovered his passion for music at a young age , coming from a talented family. The artist had a flawless academic trajectory, perfecting his vocal studies in New York, under the direct guidance of famous soprano Renata Scotto, tenor David Bender (a soloist with with the New York City Opera), and Charles Riecker, the artistic director of the legendary Metropolitan Opera.

Romeo Saleno is the awardee of no less than three First Prize titles from renowned international classical singing contests, also being the youngest tenor

chosen to be a part of maestro Plácido Domingo’s Operalia in Washington DC. On the occasion of this truly unique opportunity for any distinguished artist, Romeo Saleno has the chance to personally meet the great Domingo, who declares himself impressed by the remarkable voice of the young tenor, envisioning a promising career in international music for the latter.

In May 2011, Romeo and his wife Julia Saleno fulfill their ambitious dream of singing on Broadway. Shortly after, they are granted the extraordinary honor of receiving an award at the Celebrity Gala taking place in Las Vegas as well as in Bucharest, a ceremony during which they are officially declared “The first pop opera couple in the world”. In August of the same year, they also take over the Eternal City, Rome, where they raise the public to their feet during concerts given in Piazza Campidoglio and Ergife.

At UN’s invitation, on September 25, 2011, Romeo and Julia Saleno give a concert for

peace in New York’s Central Park, on which occasion they receive the great honor of becoming “Peace Ambassadors” and also members of the Diaspora Honorary Council. From the very beginning of his fulminating career, Romeo Saleno was offered the great opportunity to step on stages all over the globe alongside world famous artists such as Sophia Loren or Gérard Depardieu.
